Annawak's "Mellow Paris Mornings" is a serene and introspective EP crafted in the fall of 2023. Heavily influenced by the UK beats scene, Annawak for the first time integrates live instruments (saxophone, piano, and drums) with gritty sampled rhythms into a melodic and captivating first full-length album, available via Echo World Records this summer.
The project is born from personal turmoil, with Annawak channeling the pain of a recent breakup into a series of clever, authentic lo-fi hip hop compositions. Tracks like "Warm Nights" and "Through The Clouds" balance rhythm and beauty, with human themes of loss, anxiety and hope. "Synthesis Dreams" evokes happy places and daydreaming, while "Canal Walk" offers a soothing, community-inspired ambience full of guest features with friends.

ANNAWAK
A well-loved figure in the lofi hip hop scene, Annawak started their musical journey at just 4 years old, when their Dad began to start teaching them the saxophone. Practising regularly throughout their school years, things changed one night after a live event when a friend gave Annawak a copy of FL Studio.
There is where Annawak’s obsession and dedication to music production began.

After experimenting with early releases and videos, Annawak applied for a place on an exclusive music production course at the Abbey Road Institute in Paris. They were accepted in 2020 and spent the next two years learning from some of Europe’s most experienced producers and engineers.
Annawak’s music can be described as easy to listen to, melodically simple but catchy, with highly-skilled production reserved usually for only the biggest artists. They never want to make things complicated - just easy to enjoy, without any pretence. Taking influence from jazz and 80’s pop music, their instrumentals are a blend of organic and synthesised elements that give listeners a moment of well-needed calm and reflection.
